Since its inception in 1903 as the “School of the Open,” Mowglis’ mission has been to use a fun, challenging, and well-managed summer camp experience to create strong, independent, and self-confident young men.
Mowglis’ traditions and orderly routines have been developed and proven through the decades and have served generations of campers and alumni. Mowglis provides an outdoor educational experience through numerous activities and experiences designed to be both fun and of lasting value for each boy.
Mowglis is more than just a “sleep-away camp.” Our program has been fine-tuned to provide a lifetime of value to each camper by nurturing his self-confidence, introducing new and unusual activities, adding elements of life-long enjoyment, and forming lasting friendships, all while participating in a fun-filled summer. The lessons learned here provide a sense of independence and an understanding of oneself and the outside world that will last a lifetime.

Saturday, June 23- Opening Day!
Boys arrive by 4 pm.
July 13-15 and August 3-5 – Parents Weekend
Visitors are welcome Friday and Saturday afternoons for various events from 3-5 pm and for our evening program from 7:15-9 pm. Boys may leave camp with their families on Sunday mornings, beginning at 10 am and returning by 3:30 pm. Guests are welcome to attend the 4 pm Chapel service.

2:45 Tennis and Archery Tournaments and boating at the waterfront
4:45 Parent reception (hors d’oeuvres, beer and wine for parents with Director Punderson and Assistant Director Greenwell)
6:00 Picnic supper with campers and parents at the lower ball field
7:30 Colors
7:45 Candlelight Chapel ceremony
8:15 Candle boats at waterfront
9:00 Parents depart
Sunday, August 12 - Last day at camp
9:30 Assembly at Greybrothers Hall for Ribbon Ceremony and Riflery Awards
10:00 Mrs. Holt’s Day celebration and graduation
12:00 Campers depart
